Online Content Manager

The Online Content Manager (OCM) is one of the most important roles on the council. They are responsible for managing the client-facing communication for our community: this website, our event emails, the event registration forms and the our events calendar. (The newsletter is managed separately by the Newsletter Manager.)

This is a new role that was developed in 2011 as the result of changing tools and technologies.

The OCM performs all updates using two web-based applications: Google Sites and Constant Contact.

Note: This role requires a solid time commitment of 2-5 hours per week.

The OCM:

  • regularly maintains and updates this website using Google Sites
  • develops and sends mass emails to our mailing list of over 800 contacts using Constant Contact, our online event and email marketing tool
  • creates event registration forms and invitations (also using Constant Contact)
  • maintains the events calendar
  • has experience in website authoring and management
  • ideally has experience in client communications or marketing
  • works closely with the Community Council
  • may make creative, structural and organizational changes to the website, with the authorization of the Administrative Council
